Middle School Strengthening and Conditioning Program
-
What is the Mission?
The objectives of the middle school strength and conditioning program is to prepare our students athletes for a healthy and active lifestyle. Teaching our students the importance of regular exercise. Specifically, our program will emphasize basic body weight movements, speed training, flexibility, and strength training, and injury prevention exercises that will help prepare them for the high school strength and conditioning program. Our goal is to create a culture that teaches that all students feel welcome and at the same time learn the value of working hard and pushing themselves.

Who Participates?
Any 7th or 8th grader. Students athletes are able to attend whenever they are able to make it. We train from 6:15 to 7:00 on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

What are the Benefits?
The obvious things like speed, strength, and agility have improved. However, there are more important benefits that come from regular exercise and training. We have more and more students that are comfortable and have developed great exercise habits that have made the transition to the high school program smooth. Consistent exercise and training builds confidence and that is what we are seeing with the students that come to the high school.
Thanks to our sponsors, in Fall 2024 we purchased new push/pull sleds, speed bands, cones, additional Plyo boxes, weights and TRX straps to enhance the experience for our Middle School student athletes.
